Shopping Adventure at Kenwood Towne Centre
Hi everyone! I'm Ariannita la Gringa, and welcome back to my YouTube channel! Today, I'm excited to take you on a shopping adventure at the largest mall in Cincinnati, Ohio—Kenwood Towne Centre. This indoor mall is a shopper's paradise, with all the stores conveniently located inside. So, let’s dive in and learn some mall shopping vocabulary along the way!
As I step through the main entrance, which is one of four entrances, I’m greeted by the refreshing air conditioning—perfect for a scorching summer day! To my left, the first sight is The Cheesecake Factory, renowned for its delicious cheesecakes. The mall boasts a variety of restaurants, and I’ll show you the food court later!
When you enter, you have the option to take the stairs or the big ramp. The ramp is especially helpful for those with disabilities or anyone using a wheelchair or cane. Accessibility is key!
If you have a specific store in mind, there’s a handy directory that maps out all the stores in the mall. It’s a great tool to help you navigate the different sections, whether you’re looking for men’s clothing, electronics, or accessories.
The mall features two levels: the upper and lower levels. Right now, I’m on the upper level, and I’ll take the escalator down to the lower level. Here we are! Behind me is the food court, a bustling area filled with a mix of fast food chains and local favorites.
Let’s explore the food options! First up is Sbarro, where a slice of pizza costs $4.99. What do you think—cheap or expensive? If you want a combo with a side and a drink, it’s $8.99. Next, we have Gold Star Chili, famous for its chili-topped hot dogs, known as coneys. And of course, no mall is complete without Chinese food!
Behind me is Popeyes, a popular spot for fried chicken, competing with KFC. You can also find Chick-fil-A and Chipotle here, both of which have long lines—always a good sign of delicious food!
Now, let’s step away from the food court and check out some shopping areas. I see a store selling hats and a small stand called a kiosk, which offers items like phone cases and chargers. Kiosks are smaller than full stores but are great for quick shopping.
One of my favorite stores here is Akira, known for its trendy women’s clothing. Right now, there’s a lot of pink in style, thanks to the Barbie movie! You might notice a figure dressed in the window display—this is called a mannequin, used by stores to showcase their outfits.
I also chatted with some friends, Tonya and Malaysia, about their favorite stores. Tonya loves Foot Locker for shoes and Chipotle for food. Malaysia prefers Hollister—just a note, it’s called Hollister, not Hollisters!
So, whether you’re here for shopping, dining, or just exploring, Kenwood Towne Centre has something for everyone. Next time you visit a mall, remember these tips and vocabulary to enhance your shopping experience!
Happy shopping, and don’t forget to share your favorite mall finds!
